La Maison de Petit Pierre is the address to discover in Béziers for the great gourmets and the fine gourmets. It is located on Pierre Redier Avenue, about 10 minutes from the Robinson. It prepares a creative and refined cuisine to delight all taste buds. It honors fresh seasonal products from the region. The house is run by Pierre Augé, who is none other than the winner of Top Chef 2014. It is the unavoidable appointment of the inhabitants of Béarn and the tourists to discover and rediscover a tasty and neat cooking.
What we like about the Maison du Petit Pierre is above all its authenticity. In four different atmospheres, the chef offers tapas menus but above all tasting menus with notably a formula at 42€ with 4 surprise dishes or, for the gourmets, a formula at 75€ with 6 surprise dishes. The family has recovered the stoves from antique dealers and invites its guests to lunch in a Spanish patio and a garden sheltered from prying eyes, in a friendly atmosphere. Perhaps you will prefer the more subdued atmosphere of the cellar, the refined room of the restaurant, decorated in the Bistro-Baroque style, or even the Appart, upstairs, ideal for family and friendly meetings and eating like at home.
In the kitchen, the chef gives pride of place to regional products. There is no menu, we let ourselves be tempted by the “surprise menus”. And yes, cooking is a story of family and tradition. Stuffed squid, lomo de cochon tirabuixo, oxtail, veal broccoli with rosemary, we are never disappointed. The meals are enhanced by the wines of Béziers, including the delicious La Maison Jaune of Jean-Michel Alquier, and then we finish with a little sweetness: sponge cake, sugar-coated pastry, orange sorbet, almond cookie…
Pierre Augé and his wife will be pleased to welcome you in their “house”. The sympathy and the warm and friendly atmosphere of the place will seduce you. Especially since the chef’s motto is always to make you spend a pleasant moment.
